Sales prospecting: email sequences

When sending ‘cold’ emails, you should be sending five emails over the course of 15 days. As with most things in life, the key to sales is persistence and patience. Below is a sample email sequence that you’re welcome to customize and use.

Email #1:

Hi {{Contact: Name}},

My CEO asked that I reach out to you to schedule time to connect regarding {{Company Name}}.

For context, {{Company Name}} works with businesses like yours to offer fresh, healthy meals that employees pay for. We deliver a glass front fridge to your office, where your employees swipe their credit card to purchase food, 24/7. It's like having a mini (2ft X 2ft) Whole Foods in your office, just steps from your desk.

If you’ve ever considered bringing fresh food to your office, but don't have the budget - then {{Prospect Name}} new solution makes sense.

Do you have a few minutes for a call this week.

Thank you,

Hi {{First Name}},

Are you the right person to talk to about getting fresh food in your office? Our CEO is really pushing to get our service live with you and she asked me to follow up. Per my last email, we stock (daily) a fresh food fridge in your office with healthy meals, snacks, drinks and treats for your employees to purchase ({{Prospect: Name}} doesn't pay for the food).

We’re working with other local businesses in {{Location Name}} and employees love the food we offer (see below).

The technology in the fridge knows exactly what was removed, and charges the person correctly (similar to Amazon Go).

Do you have 10 minutes to discuss? If you're not the right contact, would you mind introducing me to the person that does make the decision on these things?

Thanks,

{{First Name}}, is there any interest from your team in getting fresh food in your office?

Imagine getting fresh food delivered each day, that your employees buy directly from the fridge...

{{Prospect: Name}} isn't paying for the food and having to give it away.

If you're worried about the hassle of installing a fridge, it only takes 10 minutes for us to come and plug it in. Then your employees can start buying fresh food in the office, immediately.

We have a number of fridges in {{City Name}} and 90% of our customers say {{Company Name}} allows them to make healthier eating choices at work.

When is the best time for me to give you a call in the next couple of days?

Thanks,

 {{Contact: First Name,}}

Seems like you're really busy right now. I can certainly relate, but I want to tell our CEO I gave this my best effort.

Doesn't this {{Product Picture}} look great? I would love the opportunity to speak with you or someone in your office about bringing great food to your team.

Would next week be better for a quick meeting about the benefits of bringing {{Company Name}} to your office?

If you'd prefer me to check back with you in the next month or two, I'm happy to do that as well. Let me know your preference, and I'll make it happen!

Thanks,

Hi {{First Name}},

I don't want {{Prospect Name}} to fall off my radar, but this doesn't seem like a good time to get in touch. I'm cc'ing our CEO so {{He/She}} can see our email exchange, but please do keep us in mind if there is ever any interest in getting fresh, healthy meals delivered (each day) to your office.

Check out our website {{hyperlink}} to give you a better idea of the service we offer.

Please let me know if there is a better time to reach you or if there is another contact at {{Prospect Name}} I should be getting in touch with.

Thanks,
