Code 4000 means The card reader not found: The store was unable to connect to the card reader.

What to do:

  1. Please perform a power cycle on the kiosk by unplugging all power cables from the surge protector for at least 10 - 15 seconds before plugging them back in
  2. Allow a couple of minutes to pass for the kiosk to come back up
  3. Observe the tablet screen
  4. Observe if the card reader has green lights

If you see the error persist, please reach out to support@bytetechnology.co with your findings. We will need to know if you performed a power cycle, what you see on the tablet, and if the card reader has a green light.
