The Lots Export allows you to export current inventory across all Byte stores in your fleet. Lot size refers to the quantity of an item added to a Byte store in a specific restocking event. In other words, lot size basically refers to the total quantity of a product in a restock.
Export Lots as CSV
Navigate to the Products page in the Byte Dashboard and click the export icon.
Select the Lots link to export current lots of inventory to a CSV file. This will download all the data in a format that can then be loaded into a Google spreadsheet or Microsoft Excel.
This data can be used to answer a number of questions, including:
- Do I have excess inventory of a given product that I should place on sale?
- Heading into a long weekend, should I leverage a happy hour to minimize the cost of unsold food?
- Are there products in my Byte stores that are beyond their shelf life?
The lots export is delivered at the product level, based on how long a product has been in a store. For instance, if there are two Ham Sandwiches in a store but one has been in for 4 days and the other for 2 days - you'll see two unique line items for each of the sandwiches.
